Ryu Hayabusa is from Ninja Gaiden series of games, and is the property of Tecmo, Ltd. and its subsidiary, Team Ninja. He appears here solely for the purpose of role-playing in milliways_bar, from which no profit whatsoever is being made.

Ryu's story commences when he receives a letter from his father, who has departed to fight a life or death duel. His younger, brash and impatient nature is shown, as the young Hayabusa goes on a quest for revenge and to uncover the truth behind his father's disappearance. Along the way, he thwarts a plan from the misterious Demon Clan to revive the evil god-demon they worshipped. Using the powers of the Dragon Sword, an inheritance from the Hayabusa clan, said to have been crafted from a real dragon's fang, Ryu slays the jaquio, leader of the demon clan, and prevents the Demon from coming to earth.

A more mature Ryu faced the Demon Clan again when Ashtar, the Emperor of Darkness, revives the leader of the Demon Clan and sets him onto two goals: revive the Demon King, and obtain revenge on the Hayabusa clan. Ryu's Dragon Sword is used against the Dark Sword of Chaos, a foul blade of darkness crafted from bone of the Demon Emperor. Ryu, more experienced, and less prone to recklessness, slays Ashtar and the revived Jaquio, again preventing the Demon King from being revived.

During his previous advantures, Ryu met and became involved with a government agent named Irene Lew, and Irene is the weak spot where he is attacked next; a higher government officer, Irene's boss, wants the Dragon Sword and stages Irene's murder, framing Ryu. The leader of the Hayabusa clan has to not only clean his name, but to hunt down and stop the corrupt agents. Once again, Ryu emerges victorious, and returns to his life as leader of his clan, knowing the Demon King still exists in the limbo beyond the world, and will someday seek revenge on him again.
